第五十TSI气溶胶论坛邀请到了意大利环境分析方法研究所的Giulia Pavese教授就大气污染及黑碳研究进行专题讲座。

讲座内容: Black Carbon and air pollution in Southern Italy: Activities of LIRA group
Dr. Giulia Pavese Graduated in physics, Giulia Pavese is Researcher at the Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis (IMAA) of the Italian National Research Council. She is responsible of the Laboratory of Interferometry and RAdiometry (LIRA) at IMAA.Her research activity, mainly experimental, for long time has been focused on studying optical and physical properties of atmospheric aerosol in the visible range by means of ground-based radiometric techniques.
She organized and/or participated in many measurements campaigns, both in Italy and abroad. At present, its group is working on aerosol properties characterization, both at the ground and over the column with a special focus on carbonaceous aerosol. Starting from the measured aerosol optical depths, a suitable tailored technique to identify the main columnar aerosol components was realized.Since January 2011 the activities of its group moved in Agri Valley (South Italy) where one of the biggest on-shore European reservoir of oil/gas and the largest European oil pre-treatment plant are located. Continuous Black Carbon concentration data were collected in that area, contributing to the complete Italian data-set of Black Carbon and Elemental Carbon concentrations, managed by the Italian Aerosol Society. She is cooperating with the Microminerals, Environment and Health Research Unit and the Environmental Integrated Monitoring Laboratory at IMAA to study chemical and morphological aerosol properties and aging effects on atmospheric particles under different air-masses pathways. She is editor for Advances in Meteorology and for Aerosol Science and Engineering and she is also referee of many international reviews.
