The First Academic Committee Conference of KLACP was held in conference hall of IEECAS on April 4 2015.

In the morning of April 4, the Deputy Director of IEECAS, researcher Dr. Xiaodong Liu chaired the meeting and described the establishment and development of the KLACP. Following that, he gave a warm welcome to the members of committee for their visiting. First of all, the head of the KLACP, researcher Dr. Junji Cao delivered a speech on behalf of all members of the KLACP. He introduced the working background and significance of the aerosol research; the overall position of the KLACP; the objectives and research goals of long-term development of the KLACP. Meanwhile, he summarized 2014 work briefly and showed working achievement, team building and personnel training since the founding of the KLACP, various types of instruments and device platform to the members of the committee.After that, five academic leaders gave report of research progress respectively: associate researcher Dr. Jianjun Li described the generation, contribution and influence of secondary organic aerosol in Guanzhong Area; researcher Dr. Yu Huang introduced ‘basic research for application of nanometer photochemical catalysis in air pollution control' associate researcher Dr. Feng Wu gave a report about the NO3- and HNO3 in the desert atmosphere; researcher Dr. Yongming Han described tar char and soot —— the bridge between carbon aerosol and fire events historical research; researcher Dr. Guohui Li gave a report which was based on the related work of atmospheric simulation of WRF-Chem model. The rapid development and research achievement was highly praised by the members of committee, in the meantime, they pointed out the deficiencies of each academic research and and gave their advice and suggestions.

In the afternoon of April 4, the Deputy Director of IEECAS, researcher Dr. Junji Cao on behalf of the institute issued letter of appointment of KLACP Academic Committee to the members of committee. After that, all members of the Academic Committee were involved in a lively discussion about the report in the morning for 2 hours. In the discussion, they came up with many grateful opinions and advice on development planning and direction, research and management. At last, Dr. Junji Cao summarized the suggestions from several aspects which were personnel management, research direction and technology application,etc, the conference came to a successful conclusion.

The members attended this conference were academician Zhisheng An from IEECAS, Prof. David Pui from University of Minnesota, USA, Dr. Junji Cao from IEECAS, academician Weijian Zhou from IEECAS, Prof. Shuncheng Li from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Prof. Min Hu from Beijing University, Prof. Zhaolin Gu from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Dr. Renjian Zhang from IAPCAS, Dr. Zhipeng Bai from CRAES, Prof. Wenke Wang from Chang'an University, Dr. Gehui Wang from IEECAS, Dr. Yongming Han from IEECAS. In addition, the academic committee also invited section chief Hongxiang Zhang from Bureau of Frontier Sciences and Education CAS to attend the conference.

The succuss of the First Academic Committee Meeting has indicated the future path of development and research of the Key Laboratory, and promoted the in-depth communication of each research institutions.Also, the experts'guidances provided invaluable experience and advice for the KLACP, and they are very significance to promote the Key Laboratory to be more professional and more promising.
