On 26th September 2012, a signing ceremony of memorandum of understanding between IEECAS and DRI was held in Xi’an.

Desert Research Institute (DRI) is the prestigious environmental science research institute in USA. It has renowned reputation in atmospheric, aqueous and ecological research fields. IEECAS has started a close collaboration since 1997. Two institutes established a program to co-supervise young scientists.

In order to reinforce the collaboration between two institutes, the two parties reached on a common agreement that the further collaboration will be based on the co-operation of new projects in following field: atmospheric environment, the quaternary geology, environmental transition, ecological environment and instrument development. Furthermore, two institutes will share resources in any possible ways.
