In order to foster the transition of aerosol study from lab experiment to technology application and to improve the ability of R & D in aerosol study, on 28th September 2013, Institute of Earth Environment Chinese Academy and Sciences, TSI company and University of Minnesota- Particle Technology Lab reached an agreement on the establishment of the Joint Lab (JLITP). JLITP is the first lab of TSI Company and aims to develop into a first class aerosol lab in China to foster the research and development of aerosol study and to provide well-trained research in atmospheric aerosol field.
The United States TSI company for the world's leading aerosol analysis equipment design and manufacturing company, has more than 50 years of production experience, its products throughout the world science and technology, industry, technology, world renowned. United States University of Minnesota Particle Technology Laboratory (PTL) as the world's leading aerosol particle research center. China Academy of Sciences Institute of earth environment, the Key Laboratory of aerosols in the field of aerosols has 25 years of research history, in the dust, carbon aerosols and other fields have a profound scientific accumulation and achieve high levels of results. Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of earth environment, director Cao Jun Ji researcher, TSI (China General Manager Wang Taihong and PTL laboratory director David Pui Professor together for the laboratory opening, and the establishment of laboratories of background, significance, positioning and development goals are recounted. JLITP joint laboratory is the first joint laboratory established by TSI and domestic research institutions, which aims to build high level aerosol production, advanced aerosol technology research and development and high level personnel training of long-term exchange platform and center base, to promote the rapid development and progress of China's aerosol research.

Experts report with meticulous care, explain the profound things in a simple way, and the participants concerned answered, AC field, won thunderous applauses.
More than 60 experts and scholars from home and abroad to participate in the opening ceremony of the laboratory and academic forum.
